home is Bavaria, doesn't mean my life is Schweinshaxn, but there is some hearty heavy meatiness to our food, and some really good sweet stuff. I lived in Vienna two years which brings me closer to the Eastern European side. The whole Southern European cuisine shaped my taste for the first 20 years. Then I moved to Indonesia and have been staying after, since 2000 now, in Singapore, with all its great hawker and coffeeshop food, where Malay food is my favourite, but all other influences, chinese, indian, thai, and European dishes on a finer dining level are available.
I love to host, and that required me to come up with culinary offers, and once I found deep pleasure in preparing food, I started attending cooking classes and learnt online.
